Sorry I didn't notice that at first. I understand what you are saying, however, I would like to share some of my experience with friends of mine that were also like that. I had a constant group of about 6-8 people that played heavily "back in the day". Of coarse, some lost touch, and drifted from the game as most do. Not until recently, I have moved back to my hometown and looked a lot of them up to see what they were getting in to these days and what not. Most had jobs, and girlfriends and other obligations to digital games and so on. So, after getting myself a job and some money, I had been looking into fun investments. For some reason, I always seemed to be drifting back to Magic. I had stopped playing a month after Alara Reborn came out, so before M10 (the new rules) and Zendikar block. I sold my old cube. So, I came back with having not a single card in my collection. I always thought that the Cube would be my starting off point for getting back in to the game, since I always considered it to be the funniest thing about the game of Magic. So, I secretly started buying cards for it, stuff I knew was for sure going to be in, and others I had hopes. My Cube has changed quite a bit without anyone even playing with it (I know, pretty lame right?). Eventually, I got the nerve to go ask some of my old "play group" if they would be interested in Cube drafting every now and then. Sure enough, it was like they were all waiting for ME to ask them. All of them instantly said YES, absolutely. So, we were off. Most of them had no idea about Planeswalkers and Equiptment, let alone even know how to play the game correctly, especially with all the new rules updates. But, little by little I got all of them to come around and even embrace the game as it is today without dwelling on a lot of old cards. They would still mention them every now and then, but still would get to see a lot of them already in my Cube, interacting with the new cards. Which, they enjoyed very much. Needless to say, I guess my original point was sort of based on what I experienced. I meant no disrespect to your idea in any way.
